- Provides ESXi support to install and upgrade NGT on multiple VMs simultaneously in Prism Central
- With AOS 5.11, Nutanix allows for end-user control of Storage Quality of Service (QoS). Nutanix cluster admins can now rate limit (throttle) IOPS of selected virtual machines on their clusters.Storage QoS in 5.11 addresses crucial Enterprise IT goals of predictability and consistency for mission-critical workloads. Rate limiting certain VMs helps prevent less critical workloads from affecting the performance of mission-critical applications. For a service provider or a large enterprise consolidating workloads, QoS provides a consistent experience to all tenants or workloads to help define and meet business SLAs
- AOS continues to become more versatile with enhancements in all-flash as well as hybrid and in performance as well in capacity. AOS 5.11 with Foundation 4.4 and later now supports up to 120 Tebibytes (TiB) of storage per node
- You can now create a NearSync schedule on a protection domain for SRA replication. The NearSync schedule can coexist with an asynchronous schedule. NearSync support for SRM is available with SRA 2.5.
- AOS 5.11 introduces the capability to physically isolate block storage (Volume Group) traffic external to a Nutanix cluster to a separate physical network. You can now secure traffic associated with a service by confining its traffic to a separate vNIC on the Controller VM and using a dedicated virtual network that has its own physical NICs.This allows customers to meet network security requirements as they can isolate certain traffic to specific ports on a cluster so that networking policies can be selectively applied.
