Nutanix AHV host name can be change without disturbing the cluster services and it has no impact on the nutanix cluster , here are the steps for AHV nodes

SSH to the AHV nodes and run command

#Hostname (newhostname)

Need to update the host name in the config file

#vi /etc/sysconfig/network

#vi /etc/hostname

Repeat steps for all the nodes

Restart acropolis service

#genesis stop acropolis

#genesis start acropolis
